CAREER EXPERIENCE
1) Procurement Executive/Lead Material Coordinator (July’13- March’16)
PETRONAS (PFLNG 1) Based In DSME Yard, Okpo South Korea. (Contract Staff)
 Coordinates and supervises all material management, warehousing and logistic activities.
 To effectively overcome challenges and difficulties associated with the tight schedule and multi-
subcontractor work force.
 Monitor material management safety, quality and progress for a specific work of multi disciplines.
 Directs all material, warehousing and logistics personnel to achieve completion of the project on
schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to project specifications.
 Maintain close liaison with appropriate members of Project management Team (PMT).
 Gain alignment with PMT on fabrication and construction needs, objectives and requirements.
 Report on a regular basis to Construction Head & Procurement Head and provide recommendations
that will enhance project efficiency and reduce potential problems.
 Initiate, implement and maintain project governance exercise during all phases of the project.
 Ensure that project system / procedures are workable and effective.
 Review Material Management, Warehousing and Logistics Plans / Procedures or adherence to good
Material Management Practice and ensure contractor implementation.
 Monitor Contractors adherence to Material Management and Logistics Plan, specifications and
scope of work.
 Verify that quality products and material are utilized and met all applicable specifications, standards
and codes.
 Provide assistance to project QA/QC activities for assigned discipline.
 Provide assistance to Quality Assurance/Quality Control personnel to efficiently complete the
required activities including inspection.
 Assist in developing reporting systems for material safety, quality and schedule.
 Assist in resolving discrepancies in Criticism of Materials (shortage/overage/out of spec) and
communicate with procurement team
 Provide assistance to Project Controls personnel on material schedule/arrival of equipment,
material and consumables.

 Managing of field service representative (FSR) vendor such as GENP, Emerson, APCI, Schneider and

2) Senior Executive, Project Logistics (April’12-June’13) – MISC Integrated Logistics (MILS, Bangsar)
 Plan, manage & execute project logistics activities comprises of ocean freighting, inland distribution,
freight forwarding, warehousing services, tax exemption, custom clearance, heavy lift equipment
handling and delivery of cargoes are conducted efficiently to ensure safe, on time delivery and in
compliance to regulatory and customers’ requirements.
 Ensuring Project Logistics activities implementations are within the approved project plan,
schedule & budget.
 Ensure all logistics operations activities comply with MILS Corporate HSE policy, guidelines and
procedures to ensure safe service deliverables to customers.
 Develop good networking with customer, subcontractors, vendor and authorities with regular
meeting & visits to facilitate seamless operations.
 Attend to customers inquiries and provide timely update of shipment to customers.
 Conduct research on business environment (including competitors activities, new equipments
/facilities, pricing, service providers) for the development of tender proposal.
 Booking coordinator for Sabah Ammonia Urea Project (SAMUR). Project owner is Petronas Chemical
Fertliser Sabah Sdn Bhd.
3) Senior Executive, Pricing for Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam & Myanmar & Slot Controller for
MES/JST/EIS SB (Jan ’10-March’12) – MISC BHD, Asia Trade- Short Sea (Liner Business Unit)
 Plan, review, monitor and control the implementation of the regional and countries’ pricing policies
for the achievement of optimum net retention/revenue generation through regular assessment of
market rate movements, competitors’ activities, fast and prompt rate quotation,
competitive/correct/timely rate setup in Sealiner, effective negotiation with agents and customers,
efficient cargo pattern management, and best use or selling of our products
 Collate, analyze, and evaluate market environment and competitors’ activities based on market
reports, economic periodicals, agents’ feedback, external shipping contracts and customers and
make recommendations for the development of Asia Trade and MISC marketing strategies to
remain competitive in the marketplace while enhancing value creation for business. Attend and
meet clients at their offices by joint visits with POS or Regional Office in our efforts to create good
rapport for the benefit of LBU’s business.
 Monitor, evaluate, and review POS performance periodically in relation to percentage (%) of slot
utilization, cargo mix, customer mix, cargo balancing, FOB inbound efforts, direct accounts
secured, freight per TEU and Revenue per TEU achieved, size type ratio, etc and make

recommendations for improvement of their performance. Guidance is provided to agents on MISC
Business Rules, ensure compliance, and communication of LBU’s business plans for a focused
objective.
 Strategies, manage, control and develop consistency capability in slot utilization by Point of Sales on
countries designated in order to achieve optimum use of the overall available slots /Deadweight.
4) Senior Executive, Pricing for Japan, Korea, Saudi Arabia and Sri Lanka (April’08-Dec’09 ) & Asia
Trade Eastbound for Pakistan & India (July’09-Dec’09) –MISC BHD, Europe WB Trade (Liner
Business Unit)
 Plan, review, monitor and control pricing activities based on Limit of Authority (LOA), in order to
achieve optimum revenue generation and slot utilization on the countries designated.
 Analyze and review marketing performance/yield management initiatives/market
development/competitor’s activities and provide improvement proposals or solutions if expectation
falls short of targets.
 Taking care Europe WB pricing for Japan, Korea, Saudi Arabia and Sri Lanka until closure of Europe
service.
5) Executive, Slot Controller (April. 2004 – March. 2008) – MISC BHD , Kuala Lumpur – Liner Business
Unit
 To monitor and control the POS/region slot utilization for Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and
Europe , services to support Commercial business unit as per allocation given, as well as to optimize
utilization of LLBU by way of redistribution of allocation.
 To plan and seek alternative arrangement to deliver containers to final destination, in case of vessel
delays or other operational constraints.
 To liaise and coordinate with Regional Offices on the slot availability and utilization before
proceeding to transfer/sell excess slots to other regions or consortium partners
 To keep abreast with the Maritime industry development, in particular to world supply and demand
of tonnage, slot pricing, competitors/feeder activities, and port regulations and procedures to
facilitate LLBU slot management effectively and efficiently.
6) Executive, Documentation (Jan. 2001 - Jan.2004) – APL-NOL (M) Sdn Bhd, Kuala Lumpur
