The Feed the Future Assets and Market Access Innovation Lab (also known as BASIS) identifies and supports innovative agricultural economic research around the globe and promotes those projects that truly empower the most vulnerable to sustainably rise up out of poverty.
Structured as a virtual institute comprised of researchers from all over the world, operating with the support of the United State's Agency for International Development (USAID), BASIS concentrates our policy-relevant research on a broad range of issues such as risk management, agricultural technology adoption, market access, resource management, and social safety nets.
