17. ■ Students interested in the medical field (OT, RN, LPN,
X-ray Tech, etc.) should talk to their school counselor
or administration to find out if this is a good fit.
■ Students must have a minimum of English 10-1 or 20-
2. Students who are graduating this year (and will be
no older than 19 as of Sept. 1, 2018) are welcome to
participate. We currently have 5 returning students in
our program.
■ Brochures containing more information are currently
available at the school office.

18. Off-Campus Education
• April time sheets are due now. Thank you to those
who handed in before the break.
• Over the next couple of weeks, Ms Wegner will be
handing out evaluations for work experience
students to give to their supervisors.
• Reminder to RAP students, keep up with your time
sheets and check in with Ms Wegner to see if it is
also time for an evaluation.

This is a wonderful opportunity to find out more about
their programs, meet instructors and learn about what
it’s like to be a student at Portage College. Please
note they will no longer be waiving the application fee
at these events and you are encouraged to bring a
copy of your transcript.
