The objective of the workshop is to highlight the need for a pan European level skill recognition for Big Data that stimulates mobility and fulfils the definition of overarching Learning Objectives & Overarching Learning Impacts. It is also meant to get feedback on the formats that are being prepared namely, usage of Badges, Label and EIT Label for professionals.

Conditions under which Course providing institutions will be awarded
the EIT Label for professionals accreditation for a fixed period of time:
❑ They reply to a call for institutional candidates that want to deliver EIT Label
based professional courses
❑ They can provide hands on training to give them experience in a given specific
field
❑ They can teach ethical aspects of the subject.
❑ They base their teaching on the learning triangles for professionals, i.e.
Technical, Leadership and Strategic foundations
❑ They assure the Objectives of the Learning Impacts will be reached
❑ They satisfy all the quality indicators
❑ The assessment of their candidacy is deemed positive to receive an EIT label for
professionals by a committee of experts
11. Assessment
Institutions to acquire EIT Label accreditations are assessed against and:
❑ They introduce a satisfactory self-assessment report according to given guidelines
❑ The given quality indicators against the assessment fields provide satisfactory results
❑ EIT pool of experts review the application and the self assessment report
❑ Assessment is completed both by the report of the evaluation team and the EIT
labelling committee as will be specified in the EIT Label for professionals
12. Renewal
Institutions to renew the EIT Label:
❑ Self-assessment report of the institution is the starting point of the renewal
procedure
❑ Should be re-assessed against the previously set 6 quality indicators
❑ The assessment covers the mandatory, the learning outcomes and impacts and
the after-training indicators
❑ Follow the detailed EIT internal processes for the renewal
13. Renewal for professionals
Professionals to renew the EIT Label need to:
❑ Show that they have been active in the field of accreditation
❑ Collect a number of CEUs/PDUs/badges as required by the renewal criteria in the
period of activity
❑ Prove that the CEUs/PDUs/badges reflect the required knowledge type learning
triangle
❑ Prove that the overarching impacts are achieved
