OBJECTIVE: To transition from private medical practice into an academic position where I can apply
my clinical and administrative experience, work with colleagues and patients, and push the boundaries of
what Gynecologic Oncology can achieve.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATION – Chief of Gynecology, J.T. Mather Memorial Hospital: Conduct
Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluations, credentialing, review of malpractice claims, disciplinary
action, evaluation of codes of conduct and quality assurance. Interface with clinical departments as
member of Medical Board. Conduct community outreach.
MEDICAL ENTREPENEURSHIP - Established first practice of Gynecologic Oncology in an
underserved rural community in Eastern Long Island. Negotiated and collaborated with hospitals to
implement modern clinical care protocols, improved hospital standards, reduced morbidity and mortality
from women’s cancers, introduced operating room and clinical care protocols, implemented the first EMR
in a local community practice. Conceived and implemented the first surgical robotics program at a
community hospital in Suffolk County.
EXPERIENCE
7/07 – Present - Sound Gynecologic Oncology, PLLC Riverhead, NY
Owner/CEO. Solo private practice in rural Eastern Long Island. Operate a busy clinical gynecologic
oncology practice, including implementation of new technology: EMR, surgical robotics, laparoscopic
surgery and treatment of gynecologic cancers. Academic collaboration with Stony Brook University to
maintain clinical standards and encourage community participation in clinical trials.

11/15 - Present - Medical Society of the State of New York Westbury, NY
Task Force on the Survival of Independent Practice. Nominated to 18-member committee to develop
models of independent practice for the society’s membership. Authored one of six models on independent
practice accepted by Council. Interfaced and advised California physicians regarding “surprise bill”
legislation and independent practice.
