2. My Success
I have successfully created a front page for a magazine
including a medium-close up shot.
I have been able to use software such as Photoshop and
InDesign successfully to produce a front cover page without
failure. I think I have grasped the basics of using both
software's.
I have been able to use the cameras effectively and upload
images safely to the computer so they are able to be used.
All photos used in the cover are my own which means I know
how to take an appropriate photo for a task.
3. What do I need to do to improve
To improve I think I could learn new techniques on both InDesign
and Photoshop, which would make my cover look more
professional with a better finishing touch.
To improve I could use a different range of colours instead of using
a single block color around the front cover.
On the cover I could try and pack information on the front of the
picture such as news headlines which would grab the readers
attention.
I could use different writing styles and colours which would make
my cover look more lively and attractive to the customer
4. What have I learnt?
I have learnt how to use InDesign and Photoshop basics with
no previous knowledge on the software.
I have learnt how to format the basics of a print layout with all
the necessary requirements needed.
I have learnt how to properly use the cameras in school and
take appropriate shots which suit my cover.
I have learnt how to upload the photo onto the macs without
knowing how to do this before.
5. How have I met the brief?
I have met the brief by producing a print that successfully
meets the grading criteria.
For example I have used a medium-close up shot.
All pictures which are used are of my own.
It would be suitable for a school student viewer.
