3.  What is cancer?
- Cancer is a group of diseases
involving abnormal cell growth with the
potential to invade or spread to other parts of
the body.
 Location of larynx:-
-The larynx is a part of the
throat, between the base of the tongue and
the trachea.

4.  Laryngeal cancer:
 Laryngeal cancer occurs when normal cells
change and grow uncontrollably.
 These cells form a cancerous tumor in the
larynx, which is located in neck

6.  Cancer of the larynx is a malignant
tumor in the larynx or a voice box.

7.  There are three types of laryngeal cancer ;
1) Sarcoma
2) lymphoma
3) Adenocarcinoma
Sarcoma:- Cancer of the connective tissue in
the
larynx.
lymphoma:- Cancer of the lymphatic tissue in
the
larynx.
Adenocarcinoma:- Cancer that starts in the
glandular cells of the larynx.

Rapid metastasis of the carcinoma, due to
abundant lymphatic vessels, into lymph nodes
and larynx.

13.  Partial laryngectomy
 Total laryngectomy
 Vocal cord stripping
 Therapy :
Chemotherapy
Radiation therapy

14.  Give acute and intensive care to the patient.
 Give medication to the patient at right time as
by doctors order.
 Give psychological support to the patient.
 Give prioprative and postoprative cre to the
patient if patient have surgery .
 Give health education to the patient.
