8. THE USER-FRIENDLY FIRE-FIGHTNING DOSING SYSTEM
• The dosing is proportional to flow rate and virtually
independent of pressure variations. This gives a steady
admixture.
• Available in different flow sizes; from 400 up to 12.000 lpm,
with fixed dosing alternatives; 0,5%, 1%, 2%, 3% or 6% or
selectable.
• Consists of a robust hydraulic water motor and a strong
industrial gear pump, both of displacement type, linked
mechanically by a direct drive coupling.

9. THE USER-FRIENDLY FIRE-FIGHTNING DOSING SYSTEM
Function principle
The water flow goes through the FIREMIKS water motor. This generates a
circular rotor motion, transferred to the gear pump over the direct drive coupling.
The concentrate is pumped into the water motor outlet, where dosing occurs.
Since the water motor and the gear pump are directly connected, the system is
flow-proportional. Dosing is automatically adjusted from the amount of water that
passes through the FIREMIKS.

10. THE USER-FRIENDLY FIRE-FIGHTNING DOSING SYSTEM
The water motor rotor has 8 or 10 working wings, this gives an early and
stable volumetric function of the water motor, within the ratio 1:10 of max flow.
(For example 240 – 2.400lpm).
This narrow interior design, along with low friction wings, also reduces noise
level and creates long lasting durabilty.

FIREMIKS works with all common types of nozzles, among others:
low expansion, medium expansion and high expansion nozzles,
foam sprinkler heads, spray nozzles, foam monitors and foam chambers.

For fixed installations connected to a foam tank, with gravity feed of foam

Mobile Type
Mainly used by fire brigades as a handy complement to fixed foam admixing
systems. Just connect FIREMIKS to the fire hoses and put down the suction
tube into a foam drum, and it is ready to be used!

One FIREMIKS
– Several nozzles!
With FIREMIKS the fire brigade can rely on a flexible system that easily
adapts to different fire fighting situations. One can use several different
nozzles at the same time, positioned at different lengths and at different
heights from FIREMIKS.

Suitable for Offshore/Salt water applications
FIREMIKS is available with the water motor made in bronze, to make it
suitable for offshore, shipping and other installations where seawater is
used. The foam pumps are made of bronze as standard.

Sprinkler units
FIREMIKS is available with piston/plunger pumps specifically suitable for
sprinkler system with low start up flow and/or high working pressure,
also for concentrates with low viscosity, for example wetting agents.

We certify that all our FIREMIKS®-units conforms with applicable
parts in NFPA 11 (2010) and NFPA 1901 (2009)
FIREMIKS is CE-marked. We declare that all our FIREMIKS®-units
conforms with European Directive 2006/42/EC.
We offer also the possibility to deliver any FIREMIKS®-unit with a
third party inspection report by Det Norske Veritas/GL or
Bureau Veritas, at a minor additional cost.
