Filipinos have several defining traits that help them cope with challenges. These include having a cheerful approach to life's ups and downs, adapting and adjusting to different circumstances, a strong capacity for hard work, deep religious faith, and making do with available resources. However, traits that are strengths in moderation can also be weaknesses if taken to an extreme, so balance is important.
