3. FIRST STEPS - JAMES
• THIS FIRST THING WILL (THE GAFF) HAD TO DO WAS FIND HIS FIRST BAND MEMBER. AFTER GIVING OUT
LEAFLETS REQUESTING BAND MEMBERS HE CAME ACROSS JAMES, WHO LATERON WOULD BE THE FIRST
BAND MEMBER AFTER AUDITIONING FOR THE LEAD SINGER.
4. FINDING 2 MORE
• WILL DECIDED THAT THE IDEAL SIZE OF THE BAND HE WOULD LIKE WOULDBE 3 MEMBERS. THIS REQUIRED
HIM TO FIND TWO MORE… AFTER 3 MONTHS SINCE HE CAME ACROSS JAMES,HE THEN FOUND BEN IN HIS
LOCAL PUB IN CHELMSFORD WHERE HE WAS PERFORMING AND HAPPENED TOBE GIFTED AT PLAYING THE
KEYBOARD.
• THIS MEANT THAT WE NEEDED ONE MORE PERSON FOR THE BAND. WILL NOW NEEDED TO FIND A
DRUMMER, AND CAME ACROSS ONE ON CHRISTMAS EVE OF 2014 WHEN WILLWENT FOR A CHRISTMAS
DINNER IN HIS LOCAL PUB AGAIN AND STEVE HAPPENED TO BE PERFORMING AND CAUGHT WILL’S EYE.
5. I THINK I’M FALLING
• OUR NEW HIT SONG IS CALLED ‘I THINK I’M FALLING’ BASED AROUND ALOVE BLOSSOMING FOR AN OLDER
FEMALE FROM A YOUNGER BOY. AND WE ARE CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF MAKING A MUSIC VIDEO
FOR IT. THIS WILL ALSO BE OUR ALBUM TITLE AS AN EXTENDED PLAYLIST.
6. WHAT WE PROMOTE
• OUR BAND LOOK TO PROMOTE A VARIETY OF DIFFERENT THEMES THROUGH OUR MUSIC AND
PERSONALITIES. OUR VIDEO’S OFFER MANY CONCEPT IDEAS TO EXPRESS WHAT WE’RE REALLY LIKE –
STRAIGHT UP WEIRD IS A GOOD DESCRIPTION! WE LIKE TO THINK THE WEIRDER THE BETTER, WE FEEL
LIKE THIS REALLY GRABS OUR AUDIENCE’S ATTENTION AND KEEPS THEM INTERESTED RATHER THAN JUST
SEEING US PERFORM IN A VIDEO LIKE THEY’RE AT OUR CONCERT.
• WE ALSO BELIEVE FIRST TIME VIEWERS ARE MORE LIKELY TO REMEMBER IF WE MAKE OUR VIDEO’S
INTERESTING (OR STRANGE).
7. COLOUR ASSOCIATION
• IF WE HAD TO ASSOCIATE COLOURS TO OUR BAND WE FEEL WE’D HAVE TOGO WITH BLACK & WHITE. WE
THINK THAT IT BEST DESCRIBES WHAT WE’RE LIKE AS PEOPLE AND HOW THIS IS PROMOTED IN OUR
MUSIC VIDEO’S AND OUR LYRICS. OUR LYRICS ARE QUITE DARK AND HAVEBEEN SAID TO BE DEPRESSIVE.
WE DISAGREE WITH THESE COMMENTS BECAUSE WE FEEL THEY ARE MORE PASSIONATE AND
DESCRIPTIVE OF OUR FEELINGS IN REAL LIFE EXPERIENCES, THIS WAY PEOPLE CAN RELATE TO THESE
LYRICS IF THEY HAVE BEEN IN A SIMILAR SITUATION.
8. SIMILAR BANDS
• WE HAVE BEEN COMPARED WITH ‘THE 1975’ BY A LARGE NUMBER OF LISTENERS AROUND THE WORLD. IN
ALL HONESTLY WE WAS DELIGHTED WITH THIS FEEDBACK AS THEY USE MANY SIMILAR MUSIC TO US AND
LOOK TO GIVE OFF SIMILAR VIBES TO OURSELVES. THE MESSAGES SHAREDWITH THE AUDIENCE SEEM TO
ALSO RELATE BETWEEN US AND ‘THE 1975’.

• WE LIKE TO THINK OF OUR BAND AS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TO ALL OTHER INDIE BANDS. WE FEEL THIS IS
MAINLY DOWN TO OUR UNIQUE THOUGHT PROCESS THAT GOES INTO ALL OURCONCEPT VIDEO IDEAS.
THIS IS WHAT SEPARATES US FROM THE BANDS WE’VE BEEN COMPARED TOAND WE FEEL IT GIVES US AN
EDGE ON THE OTHERS MAKING US ATTRACT A WIDE RANGEOF FANS.

THE BEST WAY FOR SOMEONE TO FIND OUT ABOUT US IS THROUGH GIGS OR THERE
FRIENDS/FAMILY. WE USE MANY TECHNOLOGICAL METHODS TO ATTRACT FANS SUCH AS
BUSY TWITTER AND FACEBOOK PROFILES AND SOUNDCLOUD AND SPOTIFY ACCOUNTS. A
GOOD WAY TO GET PEOPLE TO LISTEN TO OUR MUSIC IS GET OUR MUSIC TO PEOPLE WHO
LISTEN TO OUR GENRE OF MUSIC. WE LIKE TO PROMOTE OUR EP AT SIMILAR GIGS LIKE

OUR DIGIPAK SHOWS THE AUDIENCE SOMETHING ABOUT THE BAND. THE BLACK AND WHITE
THEME IS FREQUENT AMONGST INDIE BANDS AND SHOWS PEOPLE WHO WE ARE LIKE. ARE BAD
NAME SHOWS HOW WE WANT EVERYONE TO ENJOY OUR MUSIC AND THAT THERE ARE NO
INDIVIDUALS IN OUR FILM.
OUR DIGIPAK WILL SHOW FANS EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS, IT WILL SHOW THE ALBUM TRACKS AND
SOME INFORMATION ABOUT TOURS AND EVENTS. WE HOPE OUR DIGIPAK IS EXCITING AND CAN
