14. Script writing Using Microsoft Word , write up a 100-word (min.) podcast script on a topic relating to language learning or another subject area of your choice. Specify whether this podcast is aimed at students, colleagues, fellow practitioners, etc. Do not forget to greet the audience and introduce yourself.

15. Using an online prompter Access CuePrompter.com, The Online Prompter by clicking the link on your digital handout. Paste your script in the text box and select your preferred font and speed. Practise reading your script.

16. Recording & editing To record your podcast, open the following application on your computer: Audacity (PC) GarageBand (Mac)

17. Publishing - MMU server To publish your podcast on the MMU podcasting server , use the link provided in your digital handout. To link your podcast to a particular unit, you will need your unit code, which can be retrieved from your Moodle area.

18. Publishing - public server To publish your podcast on a public server, use the link to Podbean provided in your digital handout. You will need to create a free account with the podcast hosting service PodBean .

20. Planning Download the template language lesson slides from your digital handout. Using Microsoft PowerPoint , add text to the slides to create a lesson or activity relating to language learning. Prepare what you are going to say and practise talking over your slides.

21. Recording & editing To record your screencast, open the following application on your computer: Blueberry Flashback (PC) Camtasia (Mac)

22. Publishing on To publish your screencast on the web, create a free YouTube account. If you have an existing Google account (e.g. Gmail ), you can use the same credentials to create a YouTube account.

23. Sharing your screencast To embed your screencast on a web page, please access the MMU Languages Student Portal using the address provided in your handout. Alternatively, you may use your Moodle area.
