Significant achievements in the last 10 years:
Learning Science is a continual process, and in my opinion requires
continuing interest and curiosity to know more, probably throughout one's
entire scientific career! . Computers have been my preferred domain ever
since my first year in college. The extraordinary developments in this field,
both in the hardware and especially in the software area, have further
stimulated my interest and have encouraged me to explore more. I have had
the opportunity to work for 11 years and 6 months in the IT industry and
most of my experience comes from IBM India Private Limited where I have
served for 6 years.
In IBM I have worked on various domains like Health care and Life
sciences(Astra Zeneca project) and Industrial sciences((Qualex:a Kodak
photography company) and Service Master(a conglomerate of major service
companies like TruGreen, Terminix, Merry Maids, Furniture Medic etc)). I

ServiceMaster provides service to residential and commercial

involved in testing in the different Testing phases of the projects done
for the various Business Units of the Brands mentioned above. The
primary objective was to verify that the application meets the business
and functional requirements as defined by the incidents and projects
including technical requirements. The Testing started with
Requirement analysis and ended with UAT by the client users.

Astra Zeneca is a pharmaceutical company. IBM was involved in
developing the CCDS-CRL step2 product. The Consolidated Clinical
Data Storage (CCDS) and Clinical Reference Library (CRL) was
being developed as part of a program which was to implement a first
version of the Information Infrastructure components as defined in the
Clinical Development Information Strategy (CDIS). Consolidated
Clinical Data Storage (CCDS) will store datarecorded during
observations on subjects in clinical studies, in accordance with the
fundamental model behind CDISC SDTM domains for exchange of
observations. CCDS is integrated with Clinical Reference Library
(CRL) that provides data
configuration service to and serves as study metadata registry and
study data reference as well. The scope of the function that was to be
tested within the AstraZeneca CCDS CRL project is to validate the
results and ascertain whether the developed software component(s)
conform to the requirements specified in CCDS CRL User
requirement specification and Use cases The scope of testing is also to
test the CRL, LSH and MDT from a business process point of view,
and to test the readiness of the infrastructure from a systems point of
view. In this context, CCDS (Consolidated Clinical Data Store) will
allow AstraZeneca to store consolidated clinical information and
enable the use and re-use of the clinical information across studies and
projects. CRL (Clinical Reference Library) will enable AstraZeneca to
manage the definition and meaning of clinical concepts so that data
will be interpretable and useful in the future.

on the Use Cases.

agents and lab executives at a call center to follow a quick, easy and
efficient mechanism to handle consumer problems related to their
orders.

development work for the release of the product PathArt (Pathway
Articulator). Typical activities included merging of table cells and
rendering the cells as a checkbox, writing an algorithm to relate the
cells containing the different gene names, pathways, physiology etc.

I was deputed to work for HP. Maintenance of HP website involves
tracking changes in the Banners displayed across the home pages in
different languages using the Banner Management System. This
needed to be changed on a daily basis. Individual elements in a web
page could be inserted or altered using the Aquarius Publishing Tool.

HTTPUnits and Java.

10. Worked for MSTIPL (MPI Software Technology India Private
Limited), from Jan 2001 to July 2003 on Message Passing Interface
(MPI) which constitutes the message passing paradigm of distributed
computing on Linux, Windows NT platform .I have been trained on
High Performance computing. I was actively involved in the
development of a performance tool to measure the performance of
parallel programs using Java as front end. The backend is SQL Server
on Windows and postgres on Linux. The work was being done in
collaboration with research done at Mississipi State University. I was
trained on Java at STG and have considerable experience in Java. I
have used the Java API for developing different kinds of user
interfaces using different layout managers and Java 2D graphics to
display statistics as piecharts, histograms, timelines. This required a
sound knowledge of Java Swing. I have also worked on features like
applet-servlet communication.

processing system project on Oregon Pascal as front end and IBM
AS400 as backend for Circuit City, U.S.A for a year and 2 months.
