2. Initial research
For the inita
research I dida
questionnaire and
magazine page
analysis’s. Having
done the
questionnaire
helped me know
what sort of
magazine people
go for and certain
age groups. It gave
me an idea on
whether I would do
my magazine
monthly or weekly
and how much
they are willing to
pay for the
magazine.

3. Product Research
By analysing
magazine front
pages, contents
pages and double
page spreads gave
me an idea on what
goes where and
what I need to do to
pull my magazine
together. Having
compare them to
other magazines
gave me an idea on
what I want to do
and what would
work well for the
type of audience I
would like to do my
magazine for.
Having compared
the target audience
in different
magazines gave me
a fine definition on
what I would need to
do to grab the
readers attention
4. Logo design
The logo is big and
I feel goes well. Its
different from what
other magazines
may have and I
have specifically
edited it make it this
way. At first I wasn’t
sure about the logo
but while I was
looking at other
logo designs and
trying them on the
front cover of my
magazine, they
didn’t seem right or
seem to fit with the
style of the front
cover like this
specific oen from
5. Image editing
These are the
original images
that I edited. I
have chosen
these images
because they are
clear and each
photograph is
different from the
other. Having a
different
composition in
each photograph
has given each
image an
element of their
own.
6. Magazine cover
Having one main
image on the front
cover helps the
audience know that
there is a special
within the magazine
and it has one main
focused story as well
as its been jam
packed with other
great stories. Having it
laid out so each part is
readable helps the
audience know what's
within the magazine.
The main image itself
wasn’t really going to
be used for the front
cover until I thought
oh how the idea I had
in my head would plan
7. Contents Page
I feel the contents page
specifically works well
because it isn’t too in
your face and there isn’t
much on the page to
make you confused and
it is simple and easy to
follow. Having subtle
colours with one main
bright colour directs your
eye to the red bits. I
added the smoke within
the background to make
it seem like there was
some element within the
contents page as without
it it seemed bare. It was
very easy to put together
as I already edited the
image as it was going to
go on one of the other
pages but I changed my
mind as I got editing
8. Double Page Spread
I feel that the double
page spread has works
exceedingly well
because its simple. The
images aren’t too in
your face and they
blend into the back
ground yet you still
know they are their.
Having selected text in
the title and making it
different from the article
helps it stand out that
little bit more. Having
the kiss placed behind
the title was simply
because I thought it
seemed a little bare for
a double page spread
as others seem to have
a little more going on so
I started to experiment
with different things. I
started off on just
putting the models eyes
above the text but that
didn’t work.
9. Peer Group Feedback
I did a small
questionnaire to ask
students what they
thought about my
magazine and here are
just 2 of the questions I
asked and it gave me a
sense of how well I have
accomplished to reach
the target audience for
the assignment. I asked
personally on what page
that people preferred that
I have produced and the
contents page is what I
expected, I didn’t feel it
was my strongest part of
the whole magazine. And
the style of the magazine
worked well as well.
Even though a few
people didn’t like it as
much I still would not
change it as I feel it

10. Strengths of the Project
On a level I feel that the whole
magazine process and final out
come has gone well and I
personally feel like the double
page spread is my strongest
page which I have done. Its
simple yet has a lot of stuff
going on with the page, the
article itself is not being over
powered by too many images
and there isn’t pieces of text
placed or dotted all around the
page. I also feel that my Front
Cover has worked well as I had
an idea already set within my
head on what I wanted to do.
11. Weaknesses of the Project
For a weakness in my opinion is the
contents page. I wasn’t sure what to
nput on it or the stories as well as
the lay out so If I had the chance to
do this project all over again then the
only thing I would possibly change is
the contents page. I feel that more
could have been added to it and the
fact I started my project later than I
hoped is another downfall in why this
may have happened. I only ever had
a clear head and a steady idea for
the Front Page and Double Page
Spread and those seem to be my
stronger out comes.
