WOMEN ON BOARD
PROGRAM ACADEMIC DIRECTOR:
PROFESSOR KAREN BRENNER
Global trends in supporting and achieving “gender parity” at executive and board level in corporations are predominantly based on
economic rationale. This gender diversity may increase the effectiveness of monitoring duties.
A diverse team of executives and board can help avoiding risks and may lead to their better assessment. Recent empirical studies provide
evidence for the fact that women promote better understanding of markets and they provide access to different resources and networks.
In this context, diversity enhances creativity and innovation.
The three-day program explores the essential responsibilities, risks, and emerging trends for today’s female board members.
Guest speakers will complement faculty content by sharing their experiences engaging with corporate boards and
addressing issues of boardroom diversity.
