  • This is a letter that I received from a young man in the local Juvenile Detention Center, which gives me a sense of purpose while also giving me the clarity for the reason why I became paralyzed. Everything that I went through in my life prior to my injury was an educational process that God allowed me to go through so that iwould be prepared to help these teenager's to find a sense of love, understanding, compassion, and hope from someone who has only their best interests at heart such as myself.

  1. 1. January 14, 2015 Mr. Brian Cross Lake Mary, FL 32746 Dear Mr. Cross, I would really like to say I am extremely grateful for you taking time out of your schedule to come and speak with us youth. I really enjoyed your story and to be completely honest I don’t know how you do it. In all reality if it was me that was put in that situation I don’t think I would be able to cope. I would just like to say you’re the real man to be able to live your life as it is because there are not many people who would do that, and even though that you are paralyzed you have still been able to appreciate life and do the things you want to do. So again I would just like to say thank you for coming and spending time with us to tell us your life story. Sincerely, Jonathan martin
