My class is very excited about the hydroponic vertical planter. We were
fortunate to receive it from a grant and started assembling it in January. With
our produce, we hope to add to our school’s salad bar. Thanks so much for
giving us the awesome planter!!!!
2. Darby
“I learned that it takes only a little time to grow plants. We started in January
and already got two strawberries. With the hydroponic vertical planter, plants
seem to grow faster than in the ground. The fruits are really good. I can’t wait
to eat more.”
3. Aaltje
“I learned how to start seeds in little containers from seeds. We put
them in the hydroponic vertical planter. It was so much fun and I
wanted to say thanks.”
4. Aspyn
“The hydroponic vertical planter is so fun to learn about growing plants. Once
the tomatoes are grown, we will put them on our school’s salad bar to eat.
Also I love the planter because it helps them to grow better especially during
the winter.”
5. Jamie
“The things I liked best was learning about plants and watching them
grow from seeds. I also like that we got to take care of them to. The
best part will be eating them .”
6. Emily
“I like watching the flowers on the strawberries as they are very
beautiful. They are white. Mrs. McAtee taught us a lot about plants and
I have really enjoyed it.”
7. Dawson
“ I like how the plants are growing. First we planted the seeds and then waited
two weeks for them to sprout. We put a fan on them to make their stems
stronger. It was hard to move the seedlings to the hydroponic planter at first.
But now they are growing like crazy.”
8. Avery
“This year our school got a really amazing planter. It is a hydroponic vertical
planter that doesn’t use dirt for growing plants. We already grew two
strawberries. The seeds we got have grown into beautiful green plants. I love
the hydroponic planter and I think my teacher does too.”
9. Dominic
“It is really nice watching plants grow. Sometimes you think whatever about
plants, but getting to watch them grow has been fun and I am learning where
fruits and vegetables come from. I like to go and pick the fruit once they are
ripe,.”
10. Cameron
“ I have learned that hydroponic farming can be fun. This is how we
started. We planted seed in soil that was in a basket. The plants
sprouted and then after two weeks, we moved them the planter. .”
