1. Dear Lord, So far today, I have done alright. I haven't gossiped, lost my temper, been greedy, grumpy, nasty, selfish, or over indulgent. I am very thankful for that! But, in a few minutes Lord, I am going to get out of bed, and from then on I'm going to need a lot more help ~Amen~ Author unknown
2. You can talk about ME (But please do it on your knees!!) Well, I hear people who are talking about people most everywhere I go. To hear them tell it they were there when it happened, there's nothing they don't know. Well, you may not approve of the things I do but if you're gonna talk about me , make sure what you're saying is done while you're praying---and please do it on your knees. The Book says brothers will love one another but love doesn't need any words. It's proven by the things we do and not say -- for actions speak louder than words. There will always be people who will talk about people but if you're gonna talk about me , then tell it to Someone who can do something about it and please do it on your knees. You can tell the Lord all the things I 've done that didn't seem right to you, but don't tell your neighbour 'cause he can never give me the grace to see me through. You can tell Him all about how weak I am and pray that He 'll strengthen me you can talk about me any time you want to, but please do it on your knees. ~Unknown ~
3. Sent to God.com Every single evening As I'm lying here in bed, This tiny little Prayer Keeps running through my head: God bless all my family Wherever they may be, Keep them warm and safe from harm For they're so close to me. And God, there is one more thing I wish that you could do; Hope you don't mind me asking, Please bless my computer too. Now I know that it's unusual To Bless a motherboard, But listen just a second While I explain it to you, Lord. You see, that little metal box Holds more than odds and ends; Inside those small compartments Rest so many of my friends. I know so much about them By the kindness that they give, And this little scrap of metal Takes me in to where they live. By faith is how I know them Much the same as you. We share in what life brings us And from that our friendships grew. Please take an extra minute From your duties up above, To bless those in my address book That's filled with so much love. Wherever else this prayer may reach To each and every friend, Bless each e-mail inbox And each person who hits 'send'. When you update your Heavenly list On your own Great CD-ROM, Bless everyone who says this prayer Sent up to GOD.com Author Unknown
4. A telephone call to God Hello God, I called tonight to talk a little while ... I need a friend who'll listen to my anxiety and trial. You see, I can't quite make it through a day just on my own; I need your love to guide me, so I'll never feel alone. I want to ask you please to keep, my family safe and sound; Come and fill their lives with confidence, for whatever fate they're bound. Give me faith, dear God, to face, each hour throughout the day; And not to worry over things, I can't change in any way. I thank you God, for being home, and listening to my call; For giving me such good advice when I stumble and fall. Your number, God, is the only one that answers every time; I never get a busy signal, and never had to pay a dime. So thank you, God, for listening to my troubles and my sorrow; Good night, God, I love You, too, And I'll call again tomorrow! ~ Author Unknown ~
5. Lord, thank you for this sink full of dirty dishes; we have plenty of food to eat. Thank you for this pile of dirty laundry; we have plenty of nice clothes to wear. And I would like to thank you, Lord, for those unmade beds; they were so warm and comfortable last night. I know that many have no bed. My thanks to you, Lord, for this bathroom complete with all the splattered mirrors, soggy, grimy towels and dirty lavatory; they are so convenient. Thank you for this finger-smudged refrigerator that needs defrosting so badly; it has served us faithfully for many years. It is full of cold drinks and enough leftovers for two or three meals. Thank you, Lord, for this oven that absolutely must be cleaned today. It has baked so many things over the years. The whole family is grateful for that tall grass that needs mowing, the lawn that needs raking; we all enjoy the yard. Thank you, Lord, even for that slamming door. My kids are healthy and able to run and play. Lord, the presence of all these chores awaiting me says, You have richly blessed my family. I shall do them cheerfully and I shall do them gratefully. 6. AN ANGEL HERE, AN ANGEL THERE, I’M SURROUNDED BY ANGELS EVERYWHERE WHEN I’M IN THE MIDDLE OF A TERRIBLE STORM THEY COME WITH THEIR CANDLES TO KEEP ME WARM. AN ANGEL TO COMFORT, AN ANGEL TO GUIDE, AND ANGEL TO FILL THAT DARK HOLE INSIDE. AN ANGEL TO CRY ON, AN ANGEL WHO CARES, I’M SURROUNDED BY ANGELS, EVERYWHERE. THE ANGELS WHO REACH OUT WHEN TIMES ARE ROUGH WHO’LL LISTEN TO MY HEARTACHE AND ALL KINDS OF STUFF BRIGHT IN THE SUNSHINE AND IN DARK OF NIGHT THE ANGELS SURROUND ME WITH COMFORTING LIGHT. I GUESS GOD IS BUSY AND CAN’T COME ON DOWN TO GIVE ME A SMILE AND TAKE CARE OF MY FROWN, SO HE SENT A FEW ANGELS TO BRIGHTEN MY DAY AND HELP TO CARRY MY BURDENS AWAY. SO THANK YOU, DEAR ANGELS, MORE THAN YOU’LL KNOW FOR WATERING MY HAPPINESS AND MAKING IT GROW! AUTHOR UNKNOWN

8. Jesus came to your house to spend a day or two If He came unexpectedly, I wonder what you’d do Oh, I know you’d give your nicest Room to such an honoured Guest And all the food you’d serve to Him would be the very best, And you’d keep assuring Him you’re glad to have Him there- That serving Him in your home is joy beyond compare But when you saw Him coming would you meet Him at the door With arms outstretched in welcome to your Heavenly Visitor? Or would you have to change your clothes before you let Him in Or hide some magazines and put the Bibles where they’d been? Would you turn off the radio and hope He hadn’t heard And wish you hadn’t uttered that last, loud, hasty word? Would you hide your worldly music And put some hymn books out? Could you let Jesus walk right in, or would you rush about? And I wonder - if the Saviour spent a day or two with you, Would you go right on doing the things you always do? Would you keep right on saying the things you always say? Would life for you continue as it does from day to day? Would your family conversation keep up it’s usual pace, And would you find it hard each meal to say a table grace? Would you sing the words you sing and read the books you read And let Him know the things on which your mind and spirit feed? Would you take Jesus with you everywhere you’d planned to go? Or would you maybe change your plans for just a day or so? Would you be glad to have Him meet your very closest friends, Or would you hope they’d stay away until His visit ends? Would you be glad to have Him stay forever on and on, Or would you sigh with great relief when He at last was gone? It might be interesting to know the things that you would do If Jesus Christ in person came to spend some time with you. Author Unknown
