So what's the secret? Well, as far as the Major system
goes, it's simply a matter of replacing numbers* with
letters.
The word “numbers” itself is 23640.

52. * I'll bet some of you (curious rabble) are still wondering why Derren Brown, famed conjuror,
mentalist and intriguing charlatan, chose THESE sounds to represent numbers. Well, that would be
telling. If you really want to know the magician's secret (and many more!), you can pick up a copy of
his book "Tricks of the Mind" online (yes, even if you live in the States like I do. I got it dirt cheap,
too, like pocket change cheap, from the UK version of a certain really, really big online
book/everything store that you're probably familiar with). Alternately you could just think about it for
a minute and it would probably make sense. I'm sure Derren approves of both methods.
Especially since he doesn't make a dime off the sale of used books.
