the numbers thus far.

that’s normal.
The important thing is that at this point you’ve long ago mastered
the art of translating numbers into words/images. Right?

It’s kind of like learning to read. You’re probably very good at
“sounding out” the images based on the numbers you see.
But just as you can understand all of the words written on this
page without having to sound them out – you recognize nearly
every word here at first glance, I’m sure – you can get to the
point where numbers become images INSTANTLY in your head.

So how do you practice number imagery outside of Memrise?

Just count. That’s all. I’m sure you do it more times during the
day than you realize. So now whenever you count, instead of
counting numbers (or sheep if you’re an insomniac) count with
images.

No more 5,10,15
Think hive,Lisa,laugh

You also read numbers all the time. Replace them with images.
I’m running late! It’s 9:25!
Look at the clock and say, it’s Goo, knife.
It may sound silly, but it’s a great way to familiarize yourself with
the images until you no longer have to THINK about them.
They’ll just be in your head.

What’s the score in that hockey match?
Whore: Hen
You’re playing a game with someone, use the images to keep
score. Chances are you won’t lose count as easily.
