It identifies social media as a future political issue, noting it can sway votes and distort perceptions. Useful things learned include the importance of voting and being cautious of social media's influence on elections.
2. Things that motivate me to be an
active participant in politics.
Things that motivate me to participate in politics is by
making the changes that people vote for. The time I’m
able to vote, I will because it is my duty as a citizen of the
United States of America and it will be amazing to help
change the direction of how we want our future to be. If
there is one thing I could make easier is voting because I
hear some people do not vote because they think it is too
hard.
3. Things I learned this semester
Some of the things I learned this semester were very
interesting and it really supplied with more knowledge
of the government than before. One of the things I
learned this semester is that how interest groups and
lobbyist play a big part on getting someone elective for
a government position. Learning about this opened up
my eyes on how much more campaigns and getting
elected works.
4. Future political issue
The future political issue that has starting
now but will be a bigger problem in the future
is social media. Everyone does not
understand how the internet plays a role in
the elections. It can persuade anyone to vote
for something, it also can make some be
portray as someone horrible when it is not
true. Social media is going to be the biggest
issue for the future.
5. Important Amendment in the
Constitution
The most important amendment in the constitution
is the 1st because it protects our basic right to free
speech, freedom of religion, and freedom of press,
this will prohibits any law limiting freedom with
respect to religion, expression, peaceful assembly,
or the right of citizens to petition the government.
This amendment protects us so we say anything we
don’t agree with that doesn’t violate our right to
free speech and show anything we want with
freedom of press with ou letting out a large amount
of information like in a murder investigation.
6. Useful things from this course that
will help in the future
That voting is a big part of getting things to
change in the future. Also social media has a
real strong effect of the voting of new
government officials and that it can cause very
big problems but if we don’t believe
everything we see on social media everything
will be okay.
