2. Introduction
• Bottles made of Plastic can be recycled and used to
manufacture new bottles and containers, thermoform
packaging, strapping and are also used in fiber
applications such as car Plastic and apparel.
• Plastic is one of the most common consumer plastics
used and highly recyclable.
• Examples include carbonated soft drinks, alcoholic
beverages, detergents, cosmetics, produce,
pharmaceutical products and edible oils.
3. • Waste Plastic bottles make unhealthy for natural
environment.
• The Plastic bottle users are increased gradually in
Srilanka but there are no proper mechanism to collect
or recycle these Plastic bottles.
• There are no proper automatic Plastic bottle
identification methodology in Srilanka.

4. • Develop a Plastic bottle Identification System which includes
;
• Provide automatic Plastic bottle identification tool using
image processing algorithm with help of raspberry pi.
• Increase the accuracy of Plastic bottle detection and
develop the methodology for industrialization.
• Involve public to collect the Plastic bottle to the recycle
process with benefits.

5. Step 01 : Collect the Plastic bottles and identify the Plastic bottles using Manually.
Step 02: Analyze the Plastic bottle Characteristics and Symbol placement.
Step 03 : Implementing Algorithm for Identifying Plastic bottle uniquely.
Step 04 : Testing the System up to expecting outcome.
Step 05: Proposed the System for collecting Plastic bottle from public using this
tool.
Step 06: Finalize & Compare the Outcome of the Project.
