4. She always seems to know the perfect way to deliver hard messages to parents, and demonstrates both
empathy and extreme professionalism when articulating a problem. But what is just as impressive, is how
she doesn't dwell on problems, but deals with solutions. I was able to benefit from Allison’s skills numerous
times, yet one instance stands out as he had us stumped. With Allison’s assistance, we were able to unlock
some of the mystery in his learning style, as Allison not only told me some strategies to use, but also
coached me in how to use these methods. She set up a schedule and kept checking up on what was
working and what needed to be changed. The parents were kept in the loop too, as she had some
additional suggestions of alternative ways of doing things at home. With her guidance, we saw dramatic
results with the child. This is just one of many examples of how Allison Burg has made a difference in the
lives of so many in our school community at Novi Woods. Nancy Bain 3rd Grade Teacher
