 If Performance is below the minimum(20/35), not allowed
 After apply to the test only a few students dropped

 Programming job is always on chair
 Intensive course waste many energy
 Team project specially stay up all night
 Physical Training Program is well designed
 early the course very hard
 Study is not difficult
 deeper the course, weaker the strength
 But students’ health is good

Characteristic of Curriculum  Immersion Strategies One week, One subject  Instruction time : 8 A.M. ~ 5 P.M.  Solving the workshop(Homework)  7 P.M. ~ 12 A.M.  A.I.(Assistant Instructor) helps students  A.I. is assigned to other instructors in turns  Not allowed helps by other students
  • 21. Characteristic of Curriculum Engaging Strategies Weekend Test and Assignment  Test: Friday evening or Saturday Morning  Assignment  After test ~ Sunday Evening  No aid from A.I. or Colleagues
  • 22. Strict Rules  Rules  Students must protect their plastic name tag from dropping. If name tag drop regardless of he(she) or others-soft  Student is not allowed to drink alcohol or smoke at campus- hard  Student must clean their shoe at shoe chest-soft  Student must wear the suite Mon, Tue, Thurs-soft  Student must attend the class 8 A.M every morning-hard  Student must attend Physical Training at 05:30 -hard  Student is not allowed to go out side of campus without allowance-hard  Student is allowed to go out for weekend after 4 weeks-hard

Strict Rules  Propose  Newly Hired person must be actively followed the company’s rule  Many Culture does not allow to smoke at many spot especially inside of building  Student must learn the Endurance  Breaking Rules  Soft: 8 Km running to the mountain  Hard:  First, separation from the class, meeting with full enrollment and decide penalties  Second: leave Academy

  • 25. Unexpected Problems  Not Korean, but Chinese  Thinking Different  Did not experience co-work or collaborate  Strict Rules  Smoking & Drinking is prohibited  Not allowed to go outside the campus  Get up at 5:30 and physical training  Everyday night workshop and weekend Assignment

Condition of admission to LG CNS  Test  7th Weekend  Beijing  25 Students were offered  Second Condition  SCJP(Sun Certified Java Programmer)  20 Students were passed  LG CNS pay $2,000 for each students  other 10 students  3 students : SK C&C  freely seek and entered as they want
  • 27. LG CNS Newly Hired Employee Education  2007.7. 25 ~ 9.5(7Weeks)  After Fundamental Education at Beijing  Approved by LG CNS  But curriculum offered by LG CNS  35 Employees  10 Drop out  Currently five persons
  • 28. Alumni changed to A.I.  2 Students  entered for Assistant Instructor as beginning the IT Academy  eventually for Localization  They are top level at the achievement  They know the course.

Change Strategies  2nd Term  2007. 9. 2 ~ 2007. 12  No Coalition with company  Condition: Companies are willing to pay the tuition(each about $2,000) for adapting if student’s qualities are great.  Many Korean S/W Companies  First interviewed Company(SK C&C $12,000 )  Third(JTC $6,000)  Other Companies pay nothing  Eland Systems  We are not firm, so we are not working for interests.

Based for long run  3rd term  2008.2 ~ 2008.5(14 weeks)  We are actively sought for good students(extend to Changchun, Jilin)  Make Multimedia Movie  But many student come to change their life by the recommendation of our alumni.  Semi-Project Course was added to before team Project  Using the special curriculum of China University  During the last Semester, seniors full-timely can attend the company or education center.  We change the start time after lunar new year holiday

Based for long run  Many good Student applied  But only have talent the S/W dev.  We renewed adaptability test to Korean Big Company(Samsung, LG, SK)  Only 3 students drop  Many Companies(especially SKC&C) are willing to pay the tuition fee.  2nd and 3rd terms are Backbone of Our Academy.
