Coffee and restaurants was the most active retail sector in Asia Pacific in 2015, accounting for 33% of new entrants compared to 22% in 2014. Singapore, Beijing, Tokyo, and Taipei were the top four most active markets for new retail entrants. The United States, Japan, France, the United Kingdom, and Italy were the top five countries of origin for retailers expanding in Asia Pacific.
