Jason Hardy-Smith, Vice President of Product Management at Brightidea, Identifies Best Practices For Sourcing
New Product Ideas And Managing Innovation. There are countless proof points demonstrating that the pace of
innovation is increasing. As such, long term success relies on Product Managers embracing this rate of change
and using it to release new and better offerings to the marketplace. This talk will focus on finding the best
sources for product ideas, collaborating with Subject Matter Experts to make good products great, and identifying
the best practices for managing the innovation process.
About Speaker:
Jason Hardy-Smith is Vice President of Product Management for Brightidea. An expert in the development
lifecycle of on-demand enterprise software, Jason brings over 15 years of
expertise and vision to the Brightidea product team. Jason spent over ten years at Oracle
developing and bringing key global applications to market, including the Oracle Project Management and Oracle
SFA suites. Prior to joining Brightidea, he led the design and product management for several successful first-to-
market SaaS products, including BLUEROADS' Channel Focused Lead Referral Management. A leader,
visionary, and technology expert, Jason drives user experience, product roadmap, and product marketing of the
Brightidea suite. Jason holds an honors degree in electronic engineering from the University of Glasgow,
Scotland.
