• Almost community are farmer, with young age, low education and low
income
• Being farmers are culture, so there is no innovation in doing farming
• Level of vulnerability are moderate
• There are 4 option for livelihoods opportunities

6. Summary Fundings
1. The application of the agrosilvofishery system has a positive impact not only on
improving land agroecosystems but also being able to avoid fires and increase
income and increase community food sources.
2. The existence of a long rainy season which causes long waterlogging causes some
plants to be unable to survive and die.
3. Julutung and Blangeran plants are 2 forest plants that can survive long inundation
(5 months or more) while Tamanu plants can only survive less than 3 months.
4. The fruit plants selected based on the wishes of the farmers were 9 plants
dominated by Orange (Citrus sp.), Jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus), Mango
(Mangifera indica).
5. Need training and guiding continuesly to the change the culture of farming from
BAU to agrosilvofishery model

• Develop an agricultural culture of
innovation and collaboration by
enhancing creativity and problem-
solving skills of the farmers,
• Building farmers’s teamwork and
trust by developing leadership and
communication skills between
researcher and farmers.
• Creating supportive environment for
the farmers with action learning.
