2. The Set-up
• Modernization Act introduced in 2012
• Faculty using more and more films in class
• Covid-19 sent us home to work without a plan

3. The Catch
• Copyright budget only one left standing
• Limited access to technology
• Introducing new best practices on the fly

4. The Turmoil
• Not all DVDs have streaming counterparts
• Licensing a film could be complicated and expensive
• Commercially available vs Pedagogy

5. The Lesson
• Loose connection with Faculty
• Learned that some risks are good risks
• Being small has its benefits – less overhead

6. The Future
• Subscribe to more film databases
• Connect with Faculty more
• Prepared for new permanent hybrid classroom model
