1. • Parts lists can be imported into Released, In-Work, Obsoleted, and
Active drawings using the Drawing PL Import function.
• The process of importing from a spreadsheet file allows for
simultaneous import of mass data (from an Excel spreadsheet)
containing Parts List information.
• The parts list import process is available to Administrators and users
with appropriate permissions.

2. Locate Menu Item and Module
2An administrator must have assigned the Dwg PL Import module to your menu for it to display (bottom screen).

3. Download Starter Spreadsheet File
Be sure to follow the instructions provided regarding both format and content when entering the data on
spreadsheet (top screen). Minor variations in screen labels may occur depending on browser (top screen).

4. Populate Data for Import
Once the starter template has been downloaded and saved to desired location on the user's computer, it can be
used to populate the specific fields with the necessary information, both required and optional.

Replace Parts List and Run as a Background Job? fields are checked by default (unchecked here – top screen). If
the import is large, containing many records, it is recommended that the import be run as a background Job.
