3. SIMPLY AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE
The Pedal on the Pier event
each year allows advanced
cyclists and novice bikers to
come together for a great
cause while building their
athleticism and test their
endurance.
Celebrity sightings and
impromptu dance parties
are just part of what
makes this an
unforgettable event.
All of this excitement while raising
money to support kids in need!
4. The Pedal on the Pier event takes place in May or
June each year on the iconic Santa Monica Pier.
5. The Harold Robinson
Foundation was established
based on the principle that
each and every child
deserves opportunities, no
matter where they stand on
the socioeconomic ladder.
The Foundation
provides funding and
resources to send Los
Angeles’s less
fortunate children to
Summer Camps and
create a sense of
purpose in each
individual.
So far, Pedal on the Pier has raised
over 2.8 million dollars since 2011.
6. The mission has grown
from the simple hope
of allowing youths to
experience camp for a
weekend to investing
in their futures, their
families, their schools,
and their communities.
The Harold Robinson
Foundation strives to
create a sense of purpose
and accomplishment in
each individual, while
working towards building
communities through
communication and
support for schools and
families.
7. CAMP UBUNTU
Because it takes so many words in the English
language to describe our foundation and the
work we do, words like; family, love, hope,
dream, unity, respect, and community, we
have adopted the word, Ubuntu, a South
African philosophy which translates to- I am
because we are. Through Ubuntu, children
learn that we must rely on and support each
other in order to insure success as an
individual, as a family, and as a community.
