• Sculpture includes statues and reliefs.
Most were produced in stone, and
represented pharaohs and gods
using a large scale.
3. • Their form is idealised, rigid and the arms
are depicted as if held tightly to the body .
4. People
• Sculptures were also made of other
people, such as nobles and scribes, on a
smaller scale . These were represented in a
more natural manner.
• Many sculptures were polychromed to
give them a greater sense of realism.
Amongst the best known examples are the
sculptures of Pharaoh Ramesses II, Queen
Nefertiti and the Seated Scribes.
5. Painting
• Was used to decorate the interior
walls of the temples and tombs with
religious scenes and images of everyday
life.
