1. Exposure of 5 Innovations of 3M
1.1
One Innovation of 3M is the Masking Tape when Richard Drew in 1925 was
analizing some procedures in a automobile company within the painting process,
but he realized that the real need of the employees was the usage of an adhesive
tape in order to separate two or more colors when they were painting the cars.
1.2
The 3M Kind Removal Silicone Tape” is a medical sticking plaster designed for skin
and wound care, offering a balance between medical efficacy and easy
manipulation.
The sticking master is mainly developed for sensitive skins and extreme care at
the moment to remove the adhesive tape from the skin.
The breakthough was developed by the healthcare área to cope user needs
bringing wealthcare into the market.
1.3
The Noise Indiactor NI-100 is a product designed for work security and protection,
that measures auditive noise level harmful for the human body. The dispositive is
located in the chest clothe of the worker and has a Green and red light to indicate
how safe is the noise level for the human body.In case of being required, the
worker should wear some ear protection to avoid auditive damage.

The post it product is a development from 3m company created by Art Fry,
introduced into the United States market in 1980. This invention has come to reality
due to the improvement of a book separator adhesive and its bad quality. The post
it was created for multiple purposes and reaching out a balance between the
adhesive and the quality, which means it could stick into the surface but avoiding
any further damage. The product had a really good acceptance within the US users
and spread the voice for the quality and its different usage.

The Scoth Tape was invented by Richard Drew in the 1930 year. It was a
transparent adhesive tape for multiple purposes but commonly used for household
repair ítems.
2. 3M Corporate Culture
The Company has introduced into his product development program a strong
innovation culture, as the employees have the liberty to solely start to research and
observe some daily problems, it bebaviour and analize some possible solutions to
start to try it on. As they begin the experimentation phase, they can fail and restart
again or obtain approval for keep developing the product, get the enough
resources and test it towards the goal.
As part of the process some of the following ítems can be observed;
Needed resources as the Project advance into further phases,
An experimentation process of failure or success,
Freedom together with values to develop the Project,
Behavour within the market and socioeconomic impact,
Environment to in where the employee can express himself
Success if the Project get approval.
3M has designed his process to encourage his employees to be innovative
and the company is supporting wether his failures or success.
3. Relate Culture with its innovations
The culture is based in a procedure where the employees can follow up a process
seeking success but aknowledging the failure is an option and part of the excercise
to achieve the goal.
The assigment of resources is part of the innovation process, seeking out the
approval of the Project and continue its development, also the environment to be
comfortable and generate new ideas.

The importance of a free mind without any borders to follow.
The correct environment to motivate the employee to propose new ideas.
Experimental Project wether to fail and learn or success and achieve the
goal.

The product or service is focused in the improvement or proposal of a new
process or product in which the end user can perceive a benefit.
