Andragogy, or otherwise known as the art and science of adult learning, is a theory attributed to Malcolm Shepherd Knowles, while Robert Mills Gagné is responsible for the Theory of Learning or known as the Conditions of Learning.   4. Now, let’s have a look at what you might already know. According to Knowles, these are the 4 principals of adult learning. Or are they? Read through them and decide for yourself. Then hover over the answer best suited to your opinion, to see your result.

  12. Why did I choose Andragogy as my main theory? The online course I will be designing has the following elements: The audience will consist of adults between the ages of 30 and 65 from various countries. The very nature of this course is a training course that must be applied directly into the learner’s work environment. Both these theories will facilitate a strong course design concept in this case.
