California 2016 Results
• 107M lbs of gross collected (31% of discards)
• up 4% from the 103M lbs collected in 2015
• 37M lbs of recycled output was produced
• up 6% over the 35M lbs recycled in 2015
• California 2016 recycling rate = 11% of discards
• Up 1% over 2015 recycling rate
• Fell 5% short of the Program’s 16% recycling rate goal
