Get off the bus at the corner of Clifton Rd and Haygood Dr. Enter the gates into the Lullwater
Reserve behind Emory’s campus. This hidden gem right inside the city will give you a natural
haven. Take a stroll around the lake, get lost in the woods, or meditate by the creek and
waterfall on a crisp Atlanta morning.
Get off the bus in Emory Village and have breakfast at Rise N’ Dine, one of the best spots for
some morning coffee and delicious food.
Get off the bus at the corner of Briarcliff Rd and Freedom Parkway. Here, you can access the
Freedom Trail, one of Atlanta’s longest stretches of paved mixed-use trail, surrounded by
rolling hills and grassy knolls. Walk east down toward Decatur, or west toward Downtown and
pass by the Carter Center.
--From the Freedom Trail, you can connect onto the Beltline Eastside Trail. Take a stroll south
and explore Inman Park, or walk north through the Poncey-Highlands neighborhood and pass
the site of the future Ponce City Market. End at 10th and Monroe.
--Stop off at Park Tavern for a cold beer, glass of wine, or snack right on the edge of Piedmont
Park, Atlanta’s most popular city park
Get off the bus at Cheshire Bridge and Woodland Ave. If you are hungry, you can grab a
specialty taco or margarita at Taqueria Del Sol, an Atlanta institution and curator of some
downright awesome fast Mexican cuisine.
--Follow the directions and walk down Lenox Rd, until you reach the entrance to the
Morningside Nature Preserve. Enjoy this urban creek and nature sanctuary that is virtually
unknown to even nearby neighbors. Check out the suspension bridge, rocky beach, and recent
revitalization efforts from Park Pride and Trees Atlanta, two area nonprofit organizations
dedicated to preserving these great Atlanta parks.
--Walk back to starting point on Cheshire Bridge Road, where you got off the last bus.
This concludes your MARTAdventure. We hope you enjoyed seeing a new
green-side of Atlanta today! Thank you for riding MARTA.

Take the bus to Howell Mill @ Trabert Ave (right after the Atlanta Water Works). Walk North on Trabert
less than a mile to Monday Night Brewery, you should arrive just before the Saturday 2:00pm tasting
tour. Be sure to check the MNB website for current tour times and plan accordingly. MNB is a newer
brewery in Atlanta with a great attitude and a very enjoyable tasting room. $10 gets you a pint glass, 4 8oz
tastings and a tour. Bring a neck tie to donate to their “wall of ties” and get $1 off admission.
After your tour and beer’s (about an hour), travel to 10th Street @ Brady Avenue. From here you will walk
southeast on Brady Avenue to Marietta St and turn left (under 5 minutes). Welcome to 5 Seasons
Restaurant and Brewery! This local chain of brewery/restaurants offers a great selection of house made
brews and some pretty good food. If it is open, make sure to check out the view from the rooftop bar or
venture next door to Hop City, a beer connoisseur store with everything you need.
Now that you have had a snack and some more brews, head back to your #12 Bus Stop and travel to the
Midtown Station to change buses.
Jump off at Monroe Drive @ Ponce de Leon Avenue. The Bookhouse Pub is just a short walk East down
Ponce. This pub takes its décor from the TV show Twin Peaks. It is dark and intimate with a great beer
selection and, of course, lots of books. Be sure to check out the tiki-themed back patio (you might even
forget you’re still in Atlanta). From Bookhouse, walk to the closest street corner.
This bus will deliver you to the corner of Moreland Ave & Euclid Ave, in the heart of Little Five Points.
This area is filled with vintage shopping, fun food, record stores and two great brew pubs. First pull up to
the bar at The Porter Beer Bar, located on the square where the bus dropped you off. There are more
beers on their list than you can ever drink and a great selection of locally sourced snacks..
--After you have had your fill, head south down Moreland about .2 miles to The Wrecking Bar Brewpub.
Housed in the basement of an old mansion, this hidden gem brews its own beers on-site. The inside feels
like a welcoming cellar and their patio often has seating, something quite rare in Atlanta.
--The next stop is just a short walk down Moreland (.3 mi). at the corner of Glenwood Ave & Flat Shoals
Ave. Walk east down Flat Shoals Ave to The Midway Pub. One of Atlanta’s best patio beer bars, The
Midway is located in eclectic East Atlanta. Their list is extensive and on Thursday night the local farmers
and food purveyors descend on the patio after the East Atlanta Village Farmers Market, just across the
street.
#74 Bus Route Toward Five Points Station
This will take you back across I-20 to Memorial Drive. Get off at Hill St @ Memorial Drive. Walk down
Memorial .2 miles to Augustine’s Pub. This cool little spot offers games in its backyard and a pretty hefty
beer list. If you want to make this your last stop, enjoy as many beers as you can still hold, then walk north
on Grant Street to King Memorial Station. This train station can take you back your starting point at
Midtown Station
Ride
Westbound Train to Five Points Station. Transfer to Red Line Northbound

This concludes your MARTAdventure. We hope you enjoyed the wide
spanning craft beer scene in Atlanta. Get home safely!
