Level 3 Diploma, ‘comparable to 2 A
Levels’
 The CLMD/Pearson BTEC Level 3, 120 credits,
diploma qualification is designed to provide highly
specialist, work-related vocational training for a
range of sectors to give learners the knowledge,
understanding and skills that they need to
prepare for employment. The qualification
provides career development opportunities for
those already in work, and progression
opportunities to higher education, degree and
professional development programmes. The
qualification attracts UCAS points which gives it
the additional advantage as a gateway to
A learner focused approach
CLMD takes a learner focused approach in the
delivery of the programme.
All learners are taken through a diagnostic test
which sets the starting point for the individualised
training.
For learners without Maths and English GCSE or
equivalent qualification, the Functional Skills
Level 2 Maths and English training is offered.
The programme is delivered through a blended
format as both online and face to face delivery
are used.
Each learner’s progress is tracked and the
continued support offered is based on such
progress.
Working through your course
 Ensure you are registered with the administration
staff
 Provide any outstanding document
 Apply for you 24 Plus Work Loan or have made
alternative arrangements for funding your course
 Agree your course plan with your designated
tutor
Working through your course
 Obtain your timetable for submissions of assignments
 Attend the scheduled Induction Session
 Submit all interim assignments for formative feedback
 Obtain formative feedback from your tutor on how to
improve your assignment
 Improve your assignments based on formative
feedback
 Submit your final assignments on time
 ALWAYS sign your assignments before submitting
 ALWAYS sign the register when you attend classes at
the centre

 Follow the pre-course reading before classes
