3. A quick reminder here: The biggest difference between Champions
Round and DFS or season-long fantasy is that our season is split up into
four rounds and four unique drafts. The rounds are split up as follows:

So how does that affect your draft strategy? We’re here to help answer
that question.
You will be able to create leagues beginning on October 1st, with Round
2 officially beginning on October 15th. Drafts will be open from October
15th to October 17th.

Injuries to Know
The NFL season thus far has be chock full of twists and turns. I’m sure
many of your fantasy team (and ours too) have been rocked by serious
injuries.
Some of the notable players who will likely miss most, if not all of Round
2 include: QB Nick Foles, QB Ben Roethlisberger, QB Drew Brees, RB
Darrius Guice, TE David Njoku.
Here are some other injuries to monitor closely as some of these
potential studs could return dur-ing Round 2, but may miss some time:
RB Saquon Barkley, WR Tyreke Hill, WR AJ Green, QB Mitch Trubisky, QB
Cam Newton, QB Sam Darnold, OT Tyron Smith, TE Hunter Henry, TE
Jordan Reed, WR N’Keal Harry.
Biggest Surprises:
Here's What We Know After Round 1
Jackson and Ingram have been incredible for the
red-hot Ravens. Jackson is ranked as QB2, while In-
gram comes in at RB5.
Lamar Jackson & Mark Ingram
The Vikings were a passing team last year, but this
year they’re all about Dalvin Cook. The FSU product
is RB3 thus far this season heading into Week 5.

Where we were right, Where we were wrong:
We correctly predicted in our Draft Guide 1.0 that Mark Ingram, Marlon
Mack, Cooper Kupp and Chris Godwin would get off to hot starts. We
also thought that Tyrell Williams would be a bust. Whoops. Can’t get
them all right.
We thought that Tyreke Hill would be overrated, which was accurate but
only due to his shoulder injury. We nailed that Damien Williams, Corey
Davis and DeVonte Freeman would get off to cold starts.
Here’s a look at some who we think is going to dominate Round 2 and
who you may want to avoid going forward.
Ekeler had been RB3 thus far, but with Gordon
coming back he may only be a flex option going
forward.
Austin Ekeler
Allen was expected to be a top 7-10 WR this year,
but has been WR1 so far. He’s an incredible WR
who should see even more open opportunities with
Melvin Gordon returning.

The Jaguars have found their WR1. Chark is among
the five highest scoring WRs in fantasy through
five weeks.

Round 2 (Week 7-12)
With 24 teams on bye during this round, it means you’re most likely
going to have to deal with tons of players who will only player at most
five games during this round. However, players like LeVeon Bell, George
Kittle, TY Hilton and others will be incredibly valuable during Round 2, due
to the fact that they will play an extra game.
Here’s a look at which teams face a favorable schedule and which players
may have a tough time getting going in Round 2.
Easiest Schedules for RB: Ravens, Rams, Titans, Steelers, Cardinals
Easiest Schedules for WR: Jaguars, Panthers, Cardinals, Bears, Bills

Round 3 (Week 13-17)
No teams have a bye week in this
round, which means we don’t have
to factor that in to our draft plans.
However, injuries will most certainly
wreck havoc during Round 2 and
will alter the landscape of the draft.
Drafting players that will have to
play in weeks 16 and 17 is going to
be important. You don’t want to
draft Sony Michel and Josh Gordon
in the first round of this draft if you
know they are not going to play
weeks 16 or 17 because the Patriots
have a commanding lead in the
division.
One of the best parts of the
Champions Round concept is not
only that there are four drafts
(which everyone knows is the best
part of fantasy football), but it’s that
each draft has its own flavor and
vibe. Round 1 is your kickoff draft,
Round 2 is all about finding the
best players with-out a bye week
and Round 3 is about maximizing
playing time and health coming
down the stretch. The Champions
Round, where the cream rises to the
top, is a whole other beast.

11. Champions Round Manifesto
Now this is where things get interesting. The Champions Round takes
place during the 2019-2020 NFL playoffs. Here are the rules for the
Champions Round:
6-16 Team Owners may enter a league and conduct a draft. A team
owner may draft FOUR players of ANY position, but can only draft 1 QB.
Team Owners compete for the highest FANTASY POINTS during the
NFL Wild Card and Divisional Rounds. After those two rounds, only the 4
team with the highest FANTASY POINTS will advance. If you’re not in the
top 4, you’re out.
The 4 remaining teams will compete for the highest FANTASY POINTS
during the Conference Title round and the Super Bowl. Whoever has the
highest FANTASY POINTS after the Super Bowl is the champion.
If you have a player on your roster who is on a team that has been
eliminated, it is your responsibility to drop that player and add an
available player. If your fantasy team is eliminated after the divisional
round, all of your players will automatically go back into the available
player pool.
For Team Owners that are still remaining after the Divisional Round, keep
a close eye on the available players. The waiver wire will be your friend.
If you navigate that better than your competition, there’s a good chance
you will be holding the title after the Super Bowl.

Final Thoughts on the Champions Round
I have personally spent many years playing season long fantasy - and
I love it. I love the camaraderie, talking smack, the football and the
challenge of trying to out-duel your friends. But when the season gets to
about Week 13, it’s basically over.
Here’s the deal: 33 percent of all fantasy players get to play in games
that matter in Week 15. 16 percent of all fantasy players get to play in
Week 16. Once the clock turns to 2020, you’re stuck playing in DFS
leagues with professionals who are most likely going to take your money
and laugh while doing it. What’s the fun in that?
Champions Round is changing all of that by incorporating the playoffs
into the final round of the season.
Hopefully our Draft Guide 2.0 will inspire you to join Champions Round,
become a commissioner and create a league. If your draft goes well,
great! Hopefully you win the round. If not, no worries. There will be a new
round in just a couple of week! That’s the beauty of Champions Round.
Season long experiences without the season long commitment.
Enjoy the season and good luck with your squads!
