Summary
With extensive experience in all aspects of project engineering and management,
regularly demonstrating capabilities in implementing projects from design phase

Northern Network Alliance (NNA)
Northern Pipeline Interconnector (NPI Stage 2)
Water supply pipeline construction from Brisbane to Noosa, as part of the SEQ Water
Grid, for drought mitigation. The Project stretched from North Pine areas to Noosa. Stage
2 was the construction of 48kms of 1200mm diameter mild steel cement lined pipe from
Eudlo to Noosa. Construction included Facilities such as water quality boosting stations,
pump stations, reservoirs, chemical dosing and other associated buildings in Cooroy,
Nambour, Ferntree, Chevallum, Landsborough, Eudlo, Narangba and North Pine.

Performed three site-based roles –
Independent Quality Verifier (on behalf of the Client, LinkWater) for pipelines and
facilities construction with associated infrastructures, roads and drainage etc.
RPEQ Structural Inspector (on behalf of the Alliance) for all steel and reinforced
concrete structural works.
Coordinate and oversee CCTV inspections of all pipelines to confirm pipe
cleanliness and general joint integrity fulfilling requirements by LinkWater.
Key responsibilities included:
FORM 16 certification involving inspection to both sub-structures and super-
structures of all buildings, pits, blockwalls and retaining walls etc. which consist of
reinforced concrete, steel and aluminum members;
Quality verification involving inspections of structures for all the sites to ascertain
construction methodologies, materials and processes used are in accordance with
the design documentation, relevant Specifications and Construction Execution
Procedures, as well as QA Documentation, ITP’s and Verification Checklists for
Civil, Structural Works and Pipelines;
Check and comment on Alliance’s QA documentation process and progress;
Observe site construction methods, and report any deviation from SWMS, WMS
and HSE policies and procedures. Take immediate action if deemed necessary;
Prepare monthly reports on Quality Verification of the Alliance work for the Client;
Lead, coordinate and report on CCTV inspection works on pipeline cleanliness for
all laid pipes.
Achievements:
Developed time saving processes by reducing double handling, identifying required
rectifications through inspections and monitoring during the preconstruction phase;
Built a strong rapport between the Client, Construction Quality team and
Construction teams through fostering good coordination, and cooperation by
working closely with all parties and resolving difference in opinion. Took time to
explain the concepts and fundamental principles behind the requirements, and
motivated the team by showing appreciation and reporting work done well;

Oakey Multi-Role Helicopter Facilities
Construction of hangars and facilities structures (both concrete & steel) with associated
infrastructures and building services (mechanical & electrical) for Oakey Army Aviation Centre.
Worked as a Coordinator (design-construction interface) on multi-discipline project, coordinating
and responding to RFI. Responsible for Checking on structural details during the construction
phase.
Key Responsibilities included:
Coordinated responses to Contractor’s RFI’s in a timely and precise manner
through organised discussions/negotiation with members of Design Team
consisting of Architects and various engineering disciplines;
Conducted reviews on structural Workshop Drawings which included meetings with
fabricators to clarify design intent, product and finish requirements;
Attended regular meetings with external Project Managers and Contractors to
provide resolutions and clarifications on RFIs and requirements;

Established and managed a RFI reply process minimising time taken to provide a
response through prioritisation, negotiation, monitoring, understanding
fundamentals of requirements and coordination among team members;
Communicated directly with fabricators (with prior agreement of Principal
Contractor) on details and requirements to successfully provide clarification on
doubts/discrepancies to prevent unnecessary time lost. This created a smoother
work process in both fabrication and construction stages to improve project

Project managements in both design phase and construction phase of the civil & structural
engineering aspects which comprised of water and waste water systems, pumping
stations, sewage treatment plants, drainage systems, roads and structures in residential,
commercial, industrial & recreational developments by renowned Developers like Sunway
City Bhd. and YTL Corporation Bhd. and others.
