ABOUT ME
As you may have realized I’m Chester Galam
and I adore video games. Back in the 90’s I was
a latchkey kid; looking after his younger brother
the best way an 8 year old kid could do by playing
video games a hobby that I’ve adored ever since
those early days in the late 90’s. This hobby
became a love, I was a human sponge absorbing
everything, the look, the sounds, the interactivity
and the ability games had to pull you into its
world of bleeps, boops and shotgun sounds. I
wanted to be part of it somehow.
Fast forward to 2012, after graduating I
worked as a UI designer at the now defunct
Head Desk Studios. Not to be disheartened I
immediately found what I thought was a small
gig, working as the Graphic Designer for Beyond
the Summit a streaming service that now has had
a total of 200,583,056 views world wide. What
began as a simple rebranding gig, turned into
a kickstarter gig, broadcast graphics gig, a web
design gig and right now it is the gig that helps
me pay the bills.
So why pack up my bags and leave? Well after
three years of collaboration, I feel like I’ve done
what I can and frankly I’m anxious to learn and
develop my skills as a Graphics Designer and I’m
hoping I could develop them with you guys
I cannot thank you enough for considering me
for the position and most importantly looking at
my folio. I’ve been known to have a tenacious
streak; any project given to me I will dedicate my
precious time to it, for every project to me is a
passion project. Again thank you. for considering
