from the ashes of Pirelli cotton mill
to one of the first BICs IN EUROPE

16. 1925“Filatura Rovereto”, a company controlled by Pirelli,
starts its production of high-strenght American
cotton, used for the production of tires, car straps,
Superga shoes soles, raincoats and floor (Linoleum).
Everyday Rovereto’s cotton mill produces 11.000 kg
of yarn, that means around 3 mln kilos per year,
half the Earth-Sun distance.

17. In 1983 Tecnofin Trentina (the future
Trentino Sviluppo) buys the plant. Its
shareholders are the Autonomous Province
of Trento and seven local banks.
In 1986the renovation starts and the area becomes
