33% of all apps within iTunes are free apps with 50% priced $0.99 - $2.99. Free apps resulted in
greater downloads over paid, however paid apps won 12.9% more of the total download volume
compared to Decemberʼs data. !

Fitness Trends High Throughout January	
  

  The following chart tracks search volume for queries containing the word “fitness”. All fitness
  related queries grew substantially in January. We attribute this trend to health seekers making
  New Years resolutions.!

Bulk of Searches Done on Weekends	
  

  The following chart indicates search traffic patterns over a seven day week. In January, the
  majority of searches were done on the weekend with Sunday registering the highest number of
  queries 19.0%, followed closely by Saturday with 17.6%. Wednesday registered the lowest
  volume with only 11.2% of the weekly volume.!

  peaked during the 8pm hour, with other notable spikes during the 2pm and 1am hours. The
  period between 2am-6am represents the lowest search volume period.!
