To Whom it May Concern:
I am writing in support of Christopher Davis’s application for the Athletic Director of K-12 Student Activities at Twinsberg City
School District. I have had the pleasure of supervising Christopher for almost two academic years at Augustana College in the
department of Residential Life. During that time Christopher consistently proved himself to be an exceptional employee in both
his quality and quantity of work, but also in how he conducted himself as an ethical and moral individual.
During his time at Augustana, Chris provided solid leadership to the Seminary and Transitional Living Hall student staff in
emergency response, managing multiple budgets, community building, programming, and academic initiatives. Chris led weekly
meetings with his staff as well as conducted individual meetings with each staff member where he monitored their progress,
worked with them on establishing SMART goals, and mentored and coached them professionally, academically, and personally.
Chris did this successfully while balancing 40+ hours of week of coaching division 3 lacrosse at Augustana. Additionally, Chris
brought athletics, residential life, and admissions closer together and helped form positive working relationships that impacted
students with clearer communication between the departments. These partnerships ultimately cut down costs and created
greater efficiencies.
Chris was a valuable team member of our larger professional staff. Whenever additional help was needed Chris would be the first
to step-up and assist with whatever project was needed. Chris’ work ethic is as attractive as his positive personality. Working
with emergency response situations on a college campus can create very tense and trying situations, Chris never let the
environment affect his mood and instead sought out the best in every situation and every individual he had to work with until a
resolution was reached. Chris often had to meet with students regarding policy violations and used those meetings to mentor and
coach students about their choices and their long term goals.
Chris also setup budgets not only for his department, but created an excel form via google documents for all individuals to
monitor their budget progress and for me as a supervisor to quickly check the status of all budgets across campus. Christopher
excelled at budget management and assisted me multiple time in sifting through various line items.
Chris left a positive impact on Augustana and on many of the students and staff that had the privilege of working with him. I can
honestly say I am a better person for having worked with Chris. If you have any additional questions please contact me at 715-
