Thank you for your interest in participating in the Dayton World Soccer Games! This event is
an opportunity for the Dayton region to come together and celebrate the cultural diversity
of our community.
The information in this packet should answer most of your questions regarding the
tournament. Additional information can be found on our web site at
www.welcomedayton.org.
Completed packets must be received by the City of Dayton, Department of Recreation and
Youth Services on or before Saturday, August 29, 2015. We will contact you once your packet
is received to confirm your information. Please include a current e-mail address or
valid phone number so we can keep you updated with the most current information.

Tournament: Dayton World Soccer Games Community Event

Age Brackets: There will be 4 youth teams in each age bracket.
1. Ages 6–7 (6–8 players per team)
2. Ages 8–9 (10–12 players per team)
3. Ages 10–12 (10–12 players per team)
4. Ages 13–14 (16–18 players per team)
5. Ages 15–18 (16–18 players per team)
There will be 8 adult teams in each age bracket.
1. Ages 19–30 (no more than 20 players per team)
2. Ages 31 and over (no more than 20 players per team)
*Brackets are subject to change based upon registrations received
Team Registration: Each team must represent one country and have at least one member on the team
who is from that country. Countries will be accepted on a first-come-first-served
basis. Duplicate countries will be put onto a waiting list and informed of whether
or not they are accepted no later than September 2, 2015.
Entry Fee: Youth Teams – $75 if registered by or before August 15, 2015
$100 if registered after August 15, 2015
Adult Teams – $100 if registered by or before August 15, 2015
$125 if registered after August 15, 2015
Entry fee must be paid at time of registration. Cash, checks or money orders are
accepted.

Uniforms: Teams will supply their own uniforms. Teams must wear matching uniforms,
but should be creative in representing their country. Each uniform must have a
number specific to the player in bold font with a line width of no less than one (1)
inch. Each player must also have soccer cleats, shin guards, and soccer socks.
Uniforms cannot interfere with the game, pose a distraction to another team, or
present a danger.
Concessions: Concessions will be available at the tournament site. Alcohol must be purchased
on site and can only be consumed in designated areas.

Event Agenda
This agenda is tentative and is subject to change. A final event schedule will be provided at Team Check-In.
Team Check-In Saturday, September 12, 6:30 am – 8:30 am
All teams must check in between 6:30 am and 8:30 am at the registration table.
Parade of Nations Saturday, September 12, 8:30 am
Teams will line up from 8:30 am – 8:50 am. The Parade will be from
8:50 am – 9:15 am, and will include all teams representing their countries,
marching under the country's flag.
Tournament Kick Off Saturday, September 12, 9:30 am
At 9:30 am all first round teams must report to their field for their match. A
listing of the order of each game will be provided in your check-in packet.

Coaches Concussion Information
In order to protect young athletes, the State of Ohio has passed a concussion law, commonly called the
Return to Play law. Therefore, all Ohio Tournaments are responsible to monitor and track compliance
with the concussion training requirements of the Return to Play law. It is required that each coach receive
approved concussion training prior to the Dayton World Soccer Games. Below you will find two links for the
Free Concussion Training. Once the training has been completed, a certificate can be printed. Please submit
the certificate with your Pre-Tournament Registration Packet and other required forms.
