6. Information for Your Job Posting A job posting is also an advertisement for your company It is important to remember keywords for best search results and the best candidates The first place for great keywords is in the “Job Title” Be sure your keywords, not the requisition number, are first and foremost in your Job Title
7. Posting Information for Your Position Next add key particulars about your Job Posting so that it is found by the best candidates Country, State, City and Zip Code are very important to a Job Posting as many candidates are only looking for positions in key locations Security Clearance levels are independent of one another so you may choose more than one
8. Categories for your Job Posting Under Category you will want to select as many as pertain to your positions You may think your position belongs in only one category but a candidate may look for it in another category For example, you may think your job posting is Administrative but the candidates you are seeking may think the position will be posted under Management, so post it under both of these categories
9. Key points about your Job Description Making a job description attractive is difficult when there are many required job description statements However, the more detailed the job description, the better the candidates who apply. Be sure to include information on your company, location and key responsibilities you are expecting from the candidate. Finally, keywords, keywords, keywords… just as recruiters search on keywords, so will candidates. Be sure you include top keywords like company name, location and the skills in your job description
10. Final Job Posting steps Email Address is where you want notifications to be sent when a candidate has applied to your job Job Application URL is to direct the candidate to your Career webpage or ATS to apply and is the link that the candidate will see when they click “Apply” Double check to make sure the URL is working properly. Broken links are a common reason for candidates’ applications not being received You can pre-post your Job Postings for future use in your Job Queue You can also Preview your Job Posting
11. Candidate Inbox When a candidate applies to your job posting you can view their resume in your Candidate Inbox This is found under your Job Manager on your MyAccount dashboard
12. Managing Your Job Postings You can View, Edit, Delete any of your job postings in the Posted Jobs section of your Job Manager on your My Account dashboard Job Postings are like “parking spaces” which allow you to Move your jobs from Active to Queue and Expired In the Queue means they are waiting to be made Active Expired job postings means they have gone 30 days without being refreshed Refreshing your jobs keeps them fresh and in front of the candidates. Very important!
