Alaina Percival is the founder of Women Who Code, an organization with over 80,000 members across 60 cities and 20 countries that aims to inspire women to pursue technology careers. She discusses how the tech industry is facing a shortage of hundreds of thousands of jobs that the current market is unprepared to fill, and how women leave tech careers in disproportionately high numbers. Her presentation provides strategies for how companies can improve their diversity by changing practices related to hiring, interviews, management, and advancement.
