Amazon EC2 Dedicated Hosts
An Amazon EC2 Dedicated Host is a physical server with EC2 instance capacity fully dedicated to your use. Dedicated Hosts can help you address compliance requirements and reduce costs by allowing you to use your existing server-bound software licenses.
Dedicated Hosts gives you additional visibility and control over how instances are placed on a physical server, and you can continually use the same physical server over time. As a result, Dedicated Hosts enable you to use your existing server-bound software licenses and address corporate compliance and regulatory requirements.
Please visit aws.amazon.com/ec2/dedicated-hosts for more information.

Introducing the Amazon EC2 Container Service CLI with Support for Docker Compose
You can now use the Amazon EC2 Container Service CLI (Amazon ECS CLI) to simplify your local development experience as well as easily set up an Amazon ECS cluster and its associated resources (e.g., EC2 instance). The Amazon ECS CLI supports Docker Compose, an open-source tool for defining and running multi-container applications. You can use the same Compose definition used to define a multi-container application on your development machine as well as in production. The Amazon ECS CLI is open source and available for download here. Read more about the CLI in our documentation.
You can also select additional options for running your Docker containers (e.g., privileged, log drivers). Learn more about these options here. We have also added availability zone awareness to the Amazon ECS service scheduler. You can now use the service scheduler to spread tasks across availability zones maintaining balance and application availability. Read more about this scheduling option in our documentation.
Read more about these new features on our blog. Please visit our product page for more information about Amazon EC2 Container Service. You can also sign
AWS Lambda Supports Python, Versioning, Scheduled Jobs, and 5 Minute Functions
You can now develop your AWS Lambda function code using Python. AWS Lambda lets you run code without provisioning and managing servers. You simply upload your Lambda Python code as a ZIP through the AWS CLI or AWS Lambda console and Lambda takes care of everything required to run and scale your code with high availability. Read our documentation for more details.
You can now maintain multiple versions of your Lambda function code. Versioning allows you to control which Lambda function version is executed in your different environments (e.g., development, testing, or production). Learn more about how to version your Lambda functions here.
You can also set up AWS Lambda to invoke your code on a regular, scheduled basis using the AWS Lambda console. You can specify a fixed rate (number of hours, days, or weeks) or you can specify a cron expression (e.g., 0 37 13 * * ?). Read here for more on scheduling Lambda functions. You can also set up your Lambda functions to run for up to five minutes allowing longer running functions such as large volume data ingestion and processing jobs.
Please visit our product page for more information about AWS Lambda.
