Cocktail Party Summary
Situation: We would like to showcase our culture and the benefits of working within the kgb group of
companies (EVP) on our website, as a term of reference for candidates.
Complication: While the components of the EVP exist – they are housed on the internal kloud. I.e., The
mission, vision and values. Kgb_U, know_more magazine, blogs and the corporate citizenship page we are
developing.
Question: How do we package our EVP and showcase the our culture?
Key Point: Develop an Employee Value Proposition page on our website and utilise to attract quality
candidates.
Arguments:
1. Today’s candidates expect more than compensation from an employer (think tours of duty).
2. An externally facing webpage will provide candidates with a view of our culture, development
programmes and an realistic preview of what its like to work in kgb attracting People Like Us and
People who LIKE us.
3. The associated cost of developing the page is minimal.

Argument 1: Candidates are selective when choosing
where to apply
Candidates are selective when choosing where to apply. They no longer just consider the compensation and
package they do there due diligence when selecting an organisation and looking for culture fit, development,
an organisation that communicates, gives staff a voice and demonstrates corporate responsibility.
The proposed page will contain:
• Mission
• Vision
• Values
• Development
• kgbU
• kgb Kloud
• kgb knowmore _Magazine
• blogs
• Workday
• ICIMS
Candidates will be made aware of the page by having links from:
• Job advert
• Email correspondence
• Careers page
• Social media pages LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook
Argument 2: We need to better package our offering
The components to be contained within our EVP is already developed and accessible via the internal kgb
Kloud portal. The only information that show cases our culture is on the careers page of the website in
the form of video testimonials from existing employees. When attracting candidates we can only talk
about our culture, whereas this page would evidence our culture to deliver a stronger brand message.
Organisations with strong brands such as Tesco, Sky and McDonalds have a similar page showcasing
their culture and employee offering. I have included links to these pages below:

Argument 3: The cost of developing the page is
minimal.
The cost associated with developing this page is minimal as all the components are
already developed. Although the ROI cannot be measured at this point the positive
impact of this page on future candidates will far outweigh the cost.
The cost would be that of a persons time to pull the information together onto one page.
Approx. 8 Hours at a cost of PHP 259/£3.75 – Development time
Approx 4 Hours per month of PHP 129.50/£1.88 - Administration
