1. Indie Audience for Music Magazine
Lauren is a Sixth Form student. She has just recently
graduated from being the type of girl, who sticks pictures
of her favourite bands on her wall (which causes her to
buy more and more magazines) to the girl who reaches
new levels in her love of music. For example, she does
not stick photos up on her wall like she use to, but she
collects all of her magazines and saves them. She has
transformed into being a more mature for her age,
intelligent woman.
Lauren use to dress herself in band t-shirts a
lot of the time. Now, as you can see in the
picture, she dresses in pretty, smart clothes.
This tells me that if I include freebees in my
magazine then it shouldn’t necessarily be for
band tops. I will also include pictures that
show off the style of clothing that her
favourite bands wear so that she can get
ideas of a fashion that she may be interested
in.
If I include free-bees, then I know that they could
be for chances to win CD’s or free ticket, because
Lauren loves to go to gigs frequently and has a
massive collection of CD’s. Lauren loves to read
all the gossip about her favourite bands in her
magazines, but doesn’t like it when there is too
much text. She also still loves to look at lots of
pictures. Consequently I will make sure that my
magazine contains interesting text alongside
images, so that it does not look like there is too
much text.
Lauren has a very wide variety of artists that she
loves to listen to. She loves everything from The
Beatles to Paramore; however she has a huge love
for Indie style music. Lauren’s favourite band is Two
Doors Cinema Club and her favourite singer is Jack
Penate. For this reason, I will revolve my music
magazine around this genre of music and include
these bands, or bands much like these.
