Foundation (FHF), the hospital has continued to expand throughout

the hospital, and to meet its goals, develops relationships with the
area’s philanthropic leaders, collects direct donations, and hosts a

• Led by the Sweetheart Ball, the foundation also
hosts a number of smaller fundraisers. The 2015
Sweetheart Ball, thanks to help from the hospital's
volunteers, featured a catered dinner, dancing with
live music, a silent auction, and the presentation of a
significant $500,000 donation. In conjunction with
the Kentucky Derby, FHF also puts on a hat-making
fundraiser before the Derby and a party the day of
the event. A more recent fundraiser, the Florida
Keys Craft Beer and Bubbly Fest, offered a variety of
craft beer, wine, and local live music for the benefit
of both the Fishermen’s Community Hospital and
the Greater Marathon Chamber of Commerce.
