Since its establishment in August 2009, the Energy
Technology Consortium of Asturias, EIG works
with the aim of developing innovative projects
of interest to the Asturias energy sector and
involving more companies and organizations to
participate in its development.
Administered by the Asturias Energy Foundation
(FAEN), the Energy Technology Consortium of
Asturias, EIG, was founded in 2009.
The enrollment of the Energy Technology
Consortium of Asturias, EIG, in July 2010 in the
Special Register of Innovative Business Groups
of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy
of Spain after having recognized its Strategic
Plan as Excellent, gives to it a significant value.
All companies and entities comprising the
Consortium may be benefit in the development of
innovative projects which intend to carry out.
The Energy Technology Consortium of Asturias,
EIG, according to its general guidelines, continues
growing and looking for new goals and new
projects.
The creation and growth of the Energy Technology
Consortium of Asturias, EIG has been possible
thanks to the collaboration of the Economic
Development Institute of Asturias (IDEPA).

How to become a member of the
Consortium?
Engage in technological development and innovation.
Being a company or entity located in Asturias whose activity
is related to the energy sector.
The Asturias Energy Foundation (Fundación Asturiana de
la Energía, FAEN), in his capacity as Administrator of the
Consortium selects companies and organizations and
propose them as candidates to be part of it. Consortium
partners will decide the incorporation of each candidate.
Consortium membership is voluntary and members can leave
it all times.
Joining the Consortium as a partner does not represent any
payment from companies interested because there is an
absence of access or stay fees. As a condition for remaining
in the Consortium, the partners have the commitment to
present, individually or jointly, technological or innovation
project proposals related to their activities.

Mission: To introduce a territorial structure suppor-
ting the business logic of the companies with higher ac-
tivity in the value chain associated to the energy sector.
Vision as national reference: Modernization of the
energy sector and its adaption to global challenges re-
lated to climate change.
Vision as regional reference: Reference of innovation
on the energy field in both energy cooperation and/or
individually.
