Web 2.0 is characterized by the shift in the role of the web user to take an active role in creating and sharing web-content. The original presentation was based on a forthcoming chapter, “ Creating Online Assessments and Preparing Learners for Authentic Displays of Learning ” by Alice Bedard-Voorhees, LisaMarie Johnson, and Phyllis Dobson in 2007.
